Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Administration Department has issued a Notification on 06-08-2021 in connection with Holiday on 1^st Moharram-ul-Haram 1443 A.H 2021 AD in KPK. The details are as under:

It is notified for general information that 1^st Moharram-ul-Haram 1443 A.H will be a Public Holiday (subject to the sighting of the moon by Markazi Ruet-e-Hilal Committee Pakistan).

The tentative date of the first Moharramul-Haram is 10^th August 2021. This is a tentative date and it may change as per the appearance of the moon. The day that falls on 10-08-2021 is Tuesday.

Note: This notification is only for the province of KP. Sindh Government will also issue the Notification of Holiday on the same day. Generally, Punjab, Balochistan, and Federal Governments don’t announce holidays on 1st Moharram. 

BISE Malakand and Abbottabad Holiday Notification

Board of Intermediate & Secondary Education Malakand and Abbottabad has also issued the Notification of Holiday on 1st Moharram 2021. All offices of these Boards will remain closed on first Moharram. The students should avoid visiting the Boards Branches on the same day. 

The day of the holiday depends on the sighting of the moon. The day may be Tuesday or Wednesday.
