Government of Pakistan, Cabinet Secretariat Establishment Division issued a Notification on 28-08-2023 in connection with the Revision Recruitment Rules for Various Federal Posts. The details are as under:

The undersigned is directed to refer to this division o.m of even number dated 02-05-2019 (Annwx-1) on the subject noted above and to state that the Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC) has observed that the majority of the ministries/divisions/departments have so far not complied with the advice given in the said o.m and requisition are they still being sent to FPSC, in ascendance with the recruitment rules that have become rather outdated.
Further Observation of FPSC
The FPSC has further observed that the main problem being faced is in the cause of requisitions where recruitment rules simply mention the qualification of “Graduation” without specifying whether this refers to an associated degree of 02 years duration or 04 years degree program. The latter, by now, has been adopted by most of the universities. The FPSC has also observed that the resection of the issue about the clarifications regarding the “graduation” degree has assumed urgency as it has started cropping up quite frequently in various recruitment cases. Given above mentioned, all, ministries /divisions/departments are advised as follows:
No requisition should be sent to FPSC that reflects the word “graduation” as a qualification without clarifying where it refers to 02 years or 04 years’ academic degree.
The advice already circulated by the divisions O.M of even number dated 02-05-2019 may be complied with within three months.
