CMThe Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Government announced the annual budget 2024-25 and I am sharing the Salary Increase KPK as Per Budget Speech 2024 and also the Pension Increase of employees. As per the speech of the Finance Minister KPK on 24 May 2024, the following has been announced for the employees and pensioners of the KP province:
Salary Increase KPK as Per Budget Speech 2024
The KP Government had already decided to announce Budget 2024-25 KPK on 24 May 2024 prior to the Federal Government. The CM stated that they have already prepared their budget. They don’t want to wait more to announce the budget. They want to work more and be ready for the net financial year challenges. There were many news of increases in salaries in Budget 2024-25 for Government employees. The Finance Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has announced to grant the following for the KP employees. The increase in pay and pension will be effective from 1st July 2024.
Minimum wage rates announced @ 36,000/- per month instead of 32000/- per month.
Increase in salaries of the KP Government employees @ 10% of the current basis pay
Pension Increase @ 10% of the current pension
A few days ago the KP Government also announced the budget for the financial year 2023-24 and I published the Budget Speech Copy May 2024 KPK for the information of employees.
Employees and Their Expectations
Employees of KPK were expecting that the government may announce a minimum of 25% in their salary increase. The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Government announced only a 1o% adhoc relief allowance with effect from 1st July 2024. The amount of ARA 2024 is not sufficient for the employees. The dearness in the country rose to more than 100% but the Government granted only 10%. This amount will not fulfill the daily use needs and necessities of the employees. The employees had already demanded that the Government should grant a minimum 50% increase in salaries of the employees.
