Clarification DRA 2021 on Running Basic Pay (Current Basic Pay)

I am sharing here the Clarification DRA 2021 on Running Basic Pay (Current Basic Pay) of the Basic Pay Scales 2017.  The last time Government issued Revised Pay Scales 2017 in July 2017. After 2017, Government did not revise the basic pay scales. The employees now are getting the basic pay as per RPS-2017.

            If we look at the Notification, it is clear that the Government will get this Disparity Reduction Allowance on the current running basic pay. The para-i of the Notification by Finance Division of the dated 3rd March 2021 clearly removes the doubt. The para is as under:

“The term “Basic Pay” will also include the amount of Personal Pay granted on account of the annual increment (s) beyond the maximum of the existing of pay scales.”

The Notification says this allowance is also admissible on the Personal Pay (PP). An employee gets PP if his/her scale stages end. After he/she crosses the last stage of his pay scale, the next year he gets Personal Pay. Mostly there are 30 stages but some scales have 15 stages. Suppose an employee is getting beyond the pay scales. So he/she will get the Disparity Reduction Allowance 2021 on the running basic pay.

    Dear aslam’o’ailakam
    What is the minimum km required to become eligible for claiming ta.
    Some people says that it had been revised recently in 2020,2021.
    Plz clarified, and also share any notification if you have.
