Government of the Punjab, Finance Department has issued a Notification on 08-03-2021 in connection with Disbursement Advance Salary March 2021 Punjab Government Employees belonging to Hindu Community on the occasion of Holi. The details of the same are as under:
Advance Salary March 2021 Punjab Govt Employees (On Holi)
The Governor of Punjab is pleased to disburse pay & allowances and pension for the month of March 2021, in the absence on “22nd March 2021” on account of “Holi” to all Government employees and pensioners belonging to the Hindu Community in pursuance of Rules 5-1(1)-f and 52(3) respectively of the Punjab Finance Rules, Volume-I.
You are requested to take further necessary action accordingly for disbursement of pay & pension on 22nd March 2021 positively.
All other employees will get the pay and pension for the month of March 2021 as usual.
It is stated that Punjab Government always disburses pay and allowances & pension in advance on every special occasion. This occasion may be Eid, Christmas, Easter or Holi, etc. Punjab Government may also distribute salary in advance when there falls gazetted holidays at the 1st and 2nd days of a month or so. This payment of pay is also the same chain of the rules.
