Government of Sindh, School Education & Literacy Department has issued a Notification on 04-04-2021 Closing Schools till 21st April 2021 Class ECE to Class 8th in Sindh province.

NO.SO(A&T)SELD/9(3)/2020: In the wake of the outgoing third wave of COVID-19 pandemic and with the approval of Competent Authority, the classroom teaching and learning activities from class ECE to VIII in all Public & Private Institutions under the administrative control of School Education & Literacy Department, Govt. of Sindh are hereby suspended with effect from 06th April 2021 to 21st April 2021.
Whereas, the home learning activities through online classes and homework assignments to be given to the students through Whatsapp/email or in cover the loss of academic time with the strict compliance of the guidelines notified by this department vide Notification of even number dated 27th November 2020. The Teaching staff shall regularly attend their Institutions for homework assignments.
Holidays in Other Provinces
It is to share here that Federal Government has already closed educational institutions in various districts of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. KK Government has also announced holidays in KP till 11th April 2021. Punjab Government has also announced the same extension in spring break in 8 districts of the province. Now Sindh Government has also decided to announce holidays from class ECE to Class 8th from 6th April 2021 to 21st April 2021. All these Governments of Pakistan have to announce the same due to the number of increased cases of the COVID-19 in the country.
Mr. Saeed Ghanu Provincial Education Minister has announced the holidays in Sindh schools (Class I to Class VIII) on 04th April 2021 (Sunday). The Federal Government and provincial Governments of Pakistan will look at the situation of the COVID-19 on Tuesday. They will further decide what to do about the holiday extension. If they think the situation is better, then the educational institutions will open. If they consider the situation is not good for the opening of schools, they will continue the holidays.
The students should take online classes regularly so that they prepare themselves for the coming examinations. The exams for the board classes will commence in May 2021.
