Ministry of Federal Education & Professional Training (FE&PT), Private Educational Institutions Regulatory Authority (PEIRA) has issued a Notification on 03-05-2021 in connection with 20% Fee Concession during Closure of Private Educational Institutions. The decision, the ministry took keeping in view of the 3rd wave of the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) Pandemic.
20% Fee Concession during Closure of Private Schools/Colleges
In continuation of this Authority’s letter of even number dated: 24-04-2021 regarding Closure of all educational institutions till further orders owing to a spike in COVID-19 positive cases. Private Educational institutions they advise to grant the concession of 20% in the monthly fee of students. This is with effect from April 2021 till the re-opening of private Educational institutions. However, the said concession policy is not applicable on PELs charging monthly tuition fees less than 8000 PKR.
- Further, fee challan (if already issued/paid for April/May 2021)contrary to the above fee concession policy that needs to be adjusted in next month fee whereas parents/guardians are also advised to pay the fee in a timely manner.
- This issues with the approval of the competent authority.

It is a good decision of the Government as the business is close due to COVID-19. The parents are unable to pay the fees of their children. It is much better if the Government also give concession to the parents paying less than 8000/- per-month fee. As the business has an effect on all types of people.
