Government of the Punjab Higher Education Department has issued a Notification on 21-05-2021 in connection with the Closing of Colleges in Punjab till Further Orders in various Districts.
Closing of Colleges in Punjab till Further Orders
Pursuant to the decisions taken in the meeting of the National Command & Operation Centre (NCOC) held on 19th May 2021, all Public & Private colleges in Panjab in the following districts shall remain closed till further orders:
Attock
Gujranwala
Layyah
Okara
Bahawalpur
Gujrat
Lodhran
Rahim yar khan
Bhakkar
Khanwal
Mainwali
Rawalpindi
Dera Ghazi Khan
Khushab
Multan
Sargodha
Faisalabad
Lahore
Muzaffargarh
T.T. Sindh
Colleges in the remaining areas follow staggered attendance Schedule.
All the concerned authorities shall ensure the observance and compliance of Covid-19 SOPs in letter and spirit.
NOTE: Status of opening and closure of Colleges would vary weekly on the basis of “7 days rolling average” of positivity rate issued by Primary and Secondary Healthcare Department.
Punjab Government School Education Department has also issued the Notification for Opening of Schools in Certain Districts. These schools will open with effect from 24th May 2021. The students will attend the schools in a staggered manner only two days a week. They will have to attend the schools only twice.
