Revised School Timing 2023 Notification has been issued by the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhawa, Elementary & Secondary Education Department. This Notification KPK Education Department issued on 31-12-2022 keeping in view the Foggy and Harsh Weather in KPK. The details are as under:

Revised School Timing Schedule for Primary Schools
The revised Schedule of School Timing for Primary schools is 09:15 AM to 1:30 PM.
Revised School Timing Schedule for Middle/Higher Secondary Schools
The revised Schedule of School Timing for Middle & Higher Secondary schools in KPK is 09:00 AM to 02:30 PM.
Elementary & Secondary Education Department KPK mentions a new schedule of school timing due to cold weather. The schedule for Primary and Middle/Higher Secondary school is different. The new school timings in KPK shall be applied from 02-01-2023 to 31-01-2023. All the schools in KPK shall open and close according to the new schedule.
Harsh Weather Conditions and Educational Institutions
The weather these days is cold and foggy around the country. The winter vacations Continue in various regions of Pakistan. But the school and colleges are still open in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Khyber Pakhtunkhawa Govt did not grant an extension for winter vacations in schools and colleges. However Federal government granted extension winter holidays 2022-23 in Federal schools and colleges. KPK Education Department takes a decision due to the gap in studies in the past 2 years. To cover this gap, the schools remain open even in such cold weather. On the other hand, Punjab Government is taking action against schools not observing winter holidays for schools and colleges.
School Timings in KPK
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa bears cold and foggy weather in January. In the morning it is very cold and foggy. Foggy weather causes traffic jams and slows down the flow of traffic. It also causes many accidents. This is why it is difficult for the students and staff to reach in time in schools. On the account of cold and foggy weather conditions, the E & SE Department, KPK changes the time schedule. The revised school timing is released by the Elementary & Secondary Education Department. The department issues notification about Revised School Timings dated 31st December 2022.
