No Holidays Extension till 15th January 2023

Education Minister Punjab Mr. Muraad Raas has clearly denied the extension in vacations and there will be No Holidays Extension till 15^th January 2023. The schools in Punjab will re-open on 9^th January 2023.

Punjab Government has announced to take Action against Educational Institutions not Observing Winter Holidays /Vacations 2022-23. The schools/colleges who will not follow the orders will have to pay fines as well as show cause notices.

Extension in Winter Vacations 2022-2023 in Punjab

Notification of Extension in Winter Vacations 2022-2023 in Punjab has been issued. Winter vacations already have started in around Punjab in all colleges. The winter vacations started on 24th December 2023 in Punjab and were supposed to be continued till 1st January. The colleges were to be opened on 2nd January 2023 Monday, as mentioned in previous notifications of the Higher Education Department, Government of Punjab. It was also notified by the Government of Punjab, that the winter vacations can be extended on the account of Weather Conditions.

Extension Winter Holidays 2022-23

Notification of Extension Winter Holidays 2022-23 has been issued by the Federal Directorate of Education Islamabad. The winter vacations around Islamabad continue. Islamabad bears extreme cold weather these days which can be dangerous. The winter vacations in all Private schools of Islamabad as per previous notifications were to be ended on 2nd January 2023. But as the weather is showing its extremity, there is a need for an extension in Winter vacations, to avoid any trouble.

Government of Pakistan, Cabinet Secretariat Cabinet Division issued a Notification on 23-12-2022 in connection with Public and Optional Holidays 2023 Pakistan. The Public Holidays 2022 in Pakistan are general holidays for all public. The Optional Holidays 2013 are not for the general public. These holidays are locally based and any event-specific or religious-specific holidays like Christmas, Diwali, etc.
