Government of the Punjab, Finance Department issued a Notification on 03-10-2023 in connection with the Discontinuation of South Punjab Reallocation Allowance for Employees. The details are as under:
Discontinuation of South Punjab Reallocation Allowance for Employees
Government of Punjab has decided to discontinue the South Punjab Reallocation Allowance. Officers and other officials posted to the South Punjab secretariat and the office of the additional Inspector General of Police South Punjab were receiving this allowance already.
The finance department on the order of the government of Punjab previously issued letters of even numbers dated 11th December 2020, 13th January 2022, and 19th September 2022. In continuation of these letters, the Punjab government has taken the decision to discontinue the reallocation allowance with effect from 27th August 2023. The decision follows the periodical review of the Chief Secretary in terms of Para 1(ii) of the finance department’s Letter of even number dated 11th December 2020.
Review of CM to Stop Reallocation Allowance
The chief secretary of Punjab reviews about this allowance admissible to the officers and officials in the Punjab S Punjab secretariat and office of the additional Inspector General of Police South Punjab. He decides to discontinue the allowance yeah and orders the finance department to issue a notification regarding this.
Previously the government of Punjab approved this allowance for all the above-mentioned officers and officials in 2020.
Who Falls Under the Discontinuation of Reallocation Allowance
According to the notification all the officers and officials who are serving their services in the SP-Secretariat and in the office of AIG of Police South Punjab fall under this decision. They are not receiving it on a regular basis.
