Due to an increase in salaries of the province of Sindh I have prepared a detailed estimated Salary Chart of Fresh Appointed Employees 2020-21 BPS Wise. However Federal, Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Balochistan Governments did not raise salaries this year budget in July 2020. This chart of the salary of newly appointed employees in the province is applicable with effect from 1^st July 2020. The fresh employees appointed in other provinces and Federal will get the same salary as the previous year.

Before we proceed further into the details of the salary of a freshly appointed employee in 2020-21, let’s see which the common allowances among the Government employees of Pakistan are:

A list of some common pay and allowance a Government employee in Pakistan is getting is as under:

• Basic Pay
• Conveyance Allowance (CA)
• House Rent Allowance /Hiring (in 5 cities of Pakistan)
• Medical Allowance
• Integrated Allowance / Washing, Dress Allowance, etc
• Hard Area Allowance
• Unattractive Allowance
• Teaching Allowance (Only for Teachers)
• Computer Allowance (Computer personals)
• Qualification Allowance (M.Phil /Ph.D. Allowance)
• Adhoc Relief Allowances (ARA-2013,2015,2016,2017,2018,2018,2019,2020)

(Note: Adhoc Relief Allowance 2013 & 2015 is only granted at this time to Sindh and KPK Government employees)

Adhoc Relief Allowance 2020 is only for the Government Employees of Sindh @ 10% and 5%. (BPS-01 to BPS-16 = 10%, BPS-17 and Above = 5%)

The difference of Various Allowances the Employees Getting

I shall share here the detail of different allowances that some employees are getting and some are not.

Adhoc Relief Allowance 2013 (ARA-2013)

At this time, the employees of Sindh and KPK are getting the ARA-2013 @ the following frozen rates:

Sindh Province

BPS-01 to BPS-15 = 5% (10% Already merged into Basic Pay Scales)

KPK Province Employees

BPS-01 to BPS-22 = 5% (10% Already Merged into Pay Scales)

Adhoc Relief Allowance 2015

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa & Sindh Government Employees = 2.5%  Adhoc Relief Allowance Frozen) (7.5% Already Merged into Basic Pay Scales)

Adhoc Relief Allowance 2019

The Adhoc Relief Allowance 2019 is 10% for all the provincial and Federal governments except Sindh Province where it is 15% of the running basic pay.

Adhoc Relief Allowance 2020

Only Sindh Government granted Adhoc Relief Allowance 2020 @ 10% for the employees of BPS-01 to BPS-16 while BPS-17 and above employees will get @ 5% of the Running Basic Pay.

The difference of House Rent Allowance

HRA is 45% for special cities while for all other cities it is 30% of the initial basic pay of the revised pay scales 2008.

The employees in the following cities of Pakistan get Hiring instead of House Rent Allowance.

• Lahore
• Peshawar
• Quetta

Salary Detail of Employee in 2020-2021 for Federal, Punjab, and Balochistan Government is the same as in 2019-20 that is as under:

Note:

Federal Government employees of certain departments will also get 25% Disparity Reduction Allowance 2021 wef 1st March 2021 to 30th June 2021. After 30th June 2021, the Government will merge this allowance into basic pay scales.
